Quickish Portraits
A couple of quickish sketches... only ever read one of the harry potter books , but alan rickman is always great :p This was kinda practice for the upcoming kino event. The Don Delillo was for Steven Gettis very cool collection of Artist's-favourite-Writer collection.

Malinky Robot review

The translation is something along the lines of :
"By launching their new label Bao, Paquet want to create a place for freedom where artists from all backgrounds (geographic and cultural) can meet and work together. To initiate this approcah, they could not find a better fit than sonny liew....mixing all influences with a lot of bravado, his book is a pure pleasure. Relying on art full of nuances and subtlety, these four short stories lay the groundwork to a very engrossing universe, while at the same time daring to develop striking graphical effects. "

Wonderland Signing at Kinokuniya

"Calling out to fans of comic books and graphic novels! Sonny Liew, the Eisner-nominated comic artist and prolific illustrator who last appeared at Kinokuniya Singapore Main Store in November 2008 for the launch of the book /Liquid City/ , is back again to launch the hard cover trade edition of Wonderland, written by Tommy Kovac, with art by Liew and published by Disney Press.
Comic critic Lim Cheng Tju, Ian Gordon ( Associate Professor at the Department of History, NUS) and poet Gwee Li Sui will discuss the topic of ‘Literature In Comics’ with reference to /Wonderland/ , and other comic titles, whilst Liew will be doing a live demo painting to be given away to one lucky winner."
